iPhone 3g, 3gs, 4, 4s, 5, iPod, iPad - how to copy contacts??

How to Copy Contacts from iPhone to a Android Phone??

First of all, we shall assume the following in the article:
-  iTunes installed on your PC and already in sync with the iPhone Contacts (please refer to Disclaimer at the end of this article)
-  Should have an Android phone with a MicroSD card and knows how to access the files on it.
- You should have a valid GMail account / if NOT than create a new Gmail A/C.

Contacts

There are 2 methods that are generally used thus far:
1) Syncing the iPhone contacts directly via iTunes to Google Contacts, will then sync with the Android phone.
2) Outputting the iPhone contacts to Windows Contacts (CSV format) and then importing the CSV files to Google Contacts (Windows Vista and Windows 7).

For Option 1:
It is perhaps the easiest and most straightforward way to get the contacts from the iPhone to the Android phone.
Steps as below:
- Connect the iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch to the computer using the USB cable.
- Open the iTunes application.
- Select customer’s iPhone and click the Info tab.
- Check the Sync Contacts with option and select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu.
·        Click on Sync or Apply on iTunes.
·        After the iTunes Sync Process is Complete, disconnect iPhone.
·        Go to Android Phone – ensure internet is working – go to contacts – Menu -> Merge with Google a/c – Sign In to Gmail a/c- finish setup – Sync will start – Contacts will be copied.
The downside of this is that Apple does not allow us to sync these contacts to a specific group that we set up. Only 2 syncing options will be provided: Merge and Replace. The iPhone contacts thus, will simply be added to the rest of your Google Contacts (if you choose Merge). So, if customer were to sync his Android device after this, he would get a massive group of both email contacts and phone contacts with no way to identify the imported iPhone contacts.

For Option 2, it only works with Windows Vista and Windows 7.

1) Using Windows Contacts to export Existing Contacts to CSV

- Check the Sync Contacts with option and select Windows Contacts from the drop-down menu.
- Save this file in a convenient location for the next step.

2) Importing Your CSV File to Google Contacts

Log into the Gmail account on PC and click the “Contacts” link.
Click Import On the right hand side of the Contacts screen and then browse to find the CSV file you exported earlier.

Important

Make sure you click the “Also add these imported contacts to:” tick box and select a new group for these contacts to be added to. We can create a new group prior to this by clicking on the 2nd left icon – Creating New Group. This will make sure that the iPhone contacts are differentiated from all other contacts and we can simply import them to the new Android Phone.

iPhone 3g, 3gs, 4, 4s, 5, iPod, iPad Troubleshooting guide

Help my iphone has frozen, there is no display, the display is blank, screen has gone black, my iphone just vibrates when i press the power button there is no display, what do i do?

Solution: -

Step 1. Don't Panic

Solution 1
Make sure that the phone is charged. If not sure then plug into the power connector and wait at-least for 3 minutes. The phone will show a battery display and should start automatically. If you press the power button long button it will show you something like this -

Once it has got plenty of charge it will turn on the phone and it work as normal and should look like this.

Solution 2

If the phone does not turn on even after that then unplug the phone from the charger. Press the home button(at the bottom of the screen) and the power button (top of the phone) together for 10 - 15 sec until u feel a vibration or a display comes on the phone.

If you get a display, your phone is back on track and if you feel a vibration and still there is no display give it some time on the charger and then try again.

If this does not work..... Now Panic!!
Don't worry there is another solution.. the last and final!!

Solution 3 (Do not try this first as you might end up loosing the data on your phone) Recovery Mode or DFU Mode

Connect your phone to the USB cable and plug it into the computer (laptop/desktop) which should have iTunes installed in it.

If you don't have it then please go to the following link - http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
It should automatically detect what kind of Operating System you have (Windows or Mac). Just click on download now and iTunes should start downloading.
If you already have a computer which you sync or take a backup of your phone, please connect it to the same computer (there is a very good reason behind this - YOUR DATA)
Once you have connected your iPhone to the computer, make sure that iTunes is open on the computer. Now press the home and power button together for approx 10 sec and then release the power button.

You will hear a distinct beep from the computer or a pop up message will come up on the screen which says -

Once you click on ok it will ask you if you would like to recover the iPhone. Just click on Recover iPhone and the process of recovering your iPhone will start.
And hopefully your phone should start.
